According to a Clarksville Police report, at around 8:22 p.m. on December 13th, a 20-year-old man driving a 1988 Chevrolet S-10 was traveling west on Crossland Avenue when he went off the right side of the roadway onto the sidewalk, hit a utility pole, and the vehicle rotated partially ejecting the man out of the driver’s side window.  The vehicle came to rest at the intersection of Crossland and Gracey Avenue.

It took emergency responders approximately 25 minutes to get the man out of the truck.  He was taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt in critical condition with internal, head and leg injuries.  The driver was the only occupant in the truck.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol might have been a factor.  The lead investigator is Officer Nelson Rodriguez.
