CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman that scammed $400 out of an 81-year-old man.
On June 12th, at around 1 p.m., a woman told an 81-year-old man who was driving in the Marina Park area that she was a representative of the Clarksville Police Department and that she was citing him for a motor vehicle violation.
The woman told the man that the citation would cost $600, but she would cut him a break and take $400. They both went to the bank where he withdrew $400 and gave it to the woman.
