Jazz from New South and Art Throughout Downtown

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.  – Beautiful weather ensured the success of the First Thursday Art Walk in downtown Clarksville.

Although February’s Art Walk was competing with what is expected to be a contentious City Council session, the crowds still perused through the displays downtown. From the launch of the Downtown Artist’s Co-op’s featured artist Richard Hogan, to the delicious delights of Savannah Tea Company at Ingredients the Art Walk was full of tantalizing pleaures.

A relative new comer to the business community in downtown Clarksville, the New South Coffee Company on Franklin not only provided the photography of David Smith but also the acoustic artistry of Stev Berzolla. Berzolla, often filed the unseasonably warm winter evening with the sounds of progressive jazz from outside New South.

The first Thursday of each month historic downtown plays host to a large collection of artists and musicians as part of the monthly Art Walk. Clarksville’s downtown stores and boutiques stay open to provide the members of the community a truly local shopping experience for the evening.
