Counterfeit Bills Passed at Convenience Store

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Police report two incidents of counterfeit bills being passed over the weekend.

Friday night a man purchased several items at the Kangaroo Express at 301 Providence Boulevard using fake bills. A second incident occurred Saturday at the same location. In that instance, the clerk checked the bills with a counterfeit detection pen and informed the suspect she was required to contact police and he left the store.

According to a report by Clarksville Police, the suspect is described as a balding white male, driving a late model Chevy Blazer. The phony bills were in denominations of $5 and $10.
