Charter Customers and Employees help Second Harvest Food Bank

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.  – More than 6,400 non-perishable food items were collected locally by Charter, on behalf of contributions made by customers and employees, in Charter’s annual Movies for Food campaign.

Helping keep the shelves stocked for local families in need during the winter holiday season, the company’s popular campaign donated the food items to Second Harvest Food Bank locations throughout Tennessee.  Nationally, Movies for Food campaign garnered more than 74,000 food items, a new all-time record.

“Once again, our customers and employees proved that supporting our neighbors in need is the most important thing we can do,” said Aimee Pfannenstiel, Vice President and General Manager of Charter’s operations in Tennessee. “Food pantries provide such a valuable service in our communities, not only during the holidays, but year-round as well.”

Charter has established a relationship with Second Harvest Food Bank that ensures food donations are distributed in the community where the donation was received. The campaign included a Charter On Demand movie coupon for a donation of four food items, or two coupons for a donation of 8 or more food items.
