Beauty at Governor's Square

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Governor’s Square Mall hosted the Sunburst Pageant and Model Search Saturday just outside of Sears.

Saturday’s contest was not your average beauty pageant. With categories of boys and girls and the request that children wear little to no make-up, Sunburst produces a competition more about the child and less about beauty.

For each age category, the contestants lined up either with a parent or the older ones alone, and tried their best to shine for the judges. Saturday’s pageant brought out proud mothers and fathers to crowd the mall’s food court.

Each age group crowned a queen and runner ups are crowned official princesses. Aside from the primary contest, each division has best dress, hair, eyes, personality and model face.

The next Sunburst Pageant for Clarksville, takes place on March 17. To learn more about Sunburst Pageants and Model Search visit them on the web at www.pageantinfo.com, or www.sunburstbeauty.com.
