Winter Market is Extended into 2012

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Many in the community have become use to the weekly Winter Market at the Smith-Trahern Mansion every Friday and were saddened to learn last Friday would be the last market. Not true, according to Market representative.

Barbara Brown, market representative announced Thursday that due to popular demand the Winter Market will continue to be held. Scheduled for Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the market will still feature local vendors with handmade or home grown products.

Held in the historic Smith-Trahern Mansion on 101 McClure Street just off Riverside Drive, the market provides the community the unique opportunity to shop for original designs and hand-crafted goods. The market features many of the same vendors found at the Clarksville Downtown Market.

According to Brown, shoppers can find everything: pies, breads, needlework, quilts, jams, honey & molasses, handmade soaps, handcrafted jewelry, crocheted and knitted items, and puppets. Anyone interested in having a booth at the weekly Winter Market, contact Barbara Brown at brmb62@gmail.com, or call 931-801-0822.
