CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Lupus Foundation of America, Mid-South Chapter held a Walk for Lupus Now Clarksville in the parking lot of Hilldale Church of Christ Saturday morning.
It is believed that 5 million people throughout the world have a form of lupus.
According to Lupus.org, lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. This includes the skin, joints, and organs within the body, basically, the body creates autoantibodies that attack and destroy healthy tissue. These autoantibodies cause inflammation, pain and damage in various parts of the body.
