Peay Basketball Premiere Set For Thursday Night

Story Submitted by Austin Peay Sports Information

CLARKSVILLE - Austin Peay State University basketball fans have not missed out on "Midnight Magic or Reigning Red," as the two teams have hosted in the past.

This season, the athletics department, along with APSU's Alumni Relations office and Wendy's of Clarksville, is hosting its Peay Basketball Premiere, Thursday, at the Dunn Center.

The event is open to Austin Peay alumni, Governors Club members and basketball season-ticket holders.

Unlike previously, the Peay Basketball Premiere will give fans an up-close look at an actual practice, along with providing first chances at gaining 2012-13 Basketball Schedule Posters.

The Lady Govs begin the evening with a 4 p.m. practice, with free Wendy's chili becoming available at the 3rd-Level Govs Club area at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., Govs head coach Dave Loos and Lady Govs head coach Carrie Daniels will introduce their respective coaching staffs and teams.

Following a short program, the Govs are scheduled to commence practice which also is open to the fans.

For more information, contact APSU Marketing and Promotions Coordinator Alaric Klinghard at 931-221-7615 or by email at klingharda@apsu.edu.
