One Dead after Tuesday Afternoon Crash



CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Fort Campbell Blvd. on Tuesday at around 5 p.m.

A Chevrolet Avalanche pickup, driven by a 31-year-old male, was traveling south on Fort Campbell Blvd. when a Mitsubishi Eclipse, driven by a 24-year-old male traveling north, made a left turn in front of the pickup near the intersection of Fort Campbell Blvd. and Hadley drive.  The pickup collided with the passenger side of the Eclipse.
 
The 20-year-old female passenger that was inside the Eclipse died at the scene, the driver was transported to Gateway Medical Center and is in stable condition.  The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
 
The investigation into this crash is currently ongoing and charges are pending.  The lead investigator is Officer John Reyes.  Anyone with information about the crash can call 931-645-8477.
 
Names will be released pending notification of family.

6th Annual Spring Into Summer Festival


 Will take place May 25-26 at the War Memorial Walking Trail Park, 101 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, KY.  All activities will begin at 12 p.m. both days and the festival is free and open to the public.  The festival includes a free carnival, various vendors, variety shows and a free concert with Joe Nichols at the Viceroy Performing Arts Center on Saturday.  For more information visit http://www.springintosummerfest.com/QCMS/.

Breakfast Latino Style for Chiapas


Will take place Sunday, May 26 from 8-11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Family Life Center, 709 Franklin St.  The event will take place every fourth Sunday of the month.  This month's featured country is Brazil. Prices for breakfast items starts at $5. Proceeds raised from the breakfast items sold go to two parishes in the southern part of Mexico, San Pedro Chenalho and San Pablo Chalchihuitan.
