At a press conference on Wednesday August 8, 2012, Mayor Kim McMillan announced the opening of a health care facility for the over 1,000 city employees located at 130 Spring St.

The building, formerly a warehouse, will be cleaned out and re-established as a state-of-the-art health care clinic staffed by CareHere.

Ernie Clevenger, President of CareHere, was on hand to thank the city and the mayor for their confidence in choosing CareHere to partner with in this endeavor.

Will Wyatt, Director of Human Relations for the city, was instrumental in getting the Health Care facility and with obtaining CareHere as the partner.

McMillan said in her comments that this facility is an extension of her efforts to make Clarksville a healthier city.  She said this goes hand in hand with her Mayor’s Fitness Council.
