Loaves and Fishes is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that helps feed the hungry in our community. According to Susan Chapman, Executive Director/Treasurer, they feed over 150 people, 6 days a week from 10:30am to 12 noon.
The “Soup Kitchen” is manned by approximately 250 volunteers who come in teams at 8:00am to prepare meals for the day. There is also a food distribution center which gives unused food to qualified agencies.
Loaves and Fishes is located in the First Presbyterian Church Activities and Outreach Center located across the street from the church and behind Jenkins and Wynne.
They operate on monetary and food donations from local churches, civic organizations, youth groups, school groups, businesses and private individuals. Breads, meats and produce are donated by local supermarkets.
If you would like to donate or volunteer, call 931-645-9020 or email info@loavesandfishestn.org.
