CLARKSVILLE, Tenn - It was another day of triple digit temperatures, but that didn't stop about 200 people from showing up to Heritage Park for Movies in the Park. The movie was the 1992 classic A League of Their Own.
Rather than having the usual athletic activity before the movie, the children were supplied with water guns and the fun ensued. The athetic activity, which was scheduled to be stretching, was cancelled due to the high heat and the cooler option was provided.
The audience participated in trivia before the movie commenced, with prizes being awarded for correct answers. Then the younger members of the audience had a quick dizzy bat relay race, and the movie began.
The next movie in the series was fan selected and will be shown on July 21st. The winning movie was The Help, which edged out Captain America by just 16 votes. Move Before the Movie is still scheduled to take place before the movie, but that may change depending on the weather.
