CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Many people in McGregor Park and those traveling along Riverside Drive Tuesday afternoon saw an amazing sight as the LST-325 docked along the banks of the Cumberland River. The LST-325, (Landing Ship, Tank), dates back to WWII and saw action in Normandy during the D-Day invasion.
The ship will be on display September 26-30 at the boat dock at McGregor Park on Riverside Drive. The crew will allow visitors to board the floating piece of history and explore the ship as well as provide information about its past.
Admission onto the ship is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-17 and free for youngsters 5 and under. Family passes for two adults and two children are available for $20. Groups of 10 or more will receive special pricing. The ship will be open at 9:00 a.m. each day with the last tour starting at 5:00 p.m.
