Samantha Gotcher will be heading to Middle Tennessee State University next year and Whitney Robertson will be attending Tennessee Tech.

CHS Golf Coach, Vicki Moncriet said, “It’s a bittersweet day for me.  I’m proud of what these girls have accomplished but I’m sure going to miss them next year.”

According to Gotcher’s father, Mike Gotcher, “We are really blessed with where we live and with her instructor, Paul Powers.  He has shaped her game and her swing to where it will hold up under pressure and we’re thankful that he has worked so hard with her and that she has been so dedicated.”

Robertson’s father, Doyle Robertson said of her going to Tennessee Tech,   “Whitney had several colleges to look at but she seemed to bond with the coach at Tenn. Tech. and it’s nice to have someone she can lean on while away at college.”

He added, “Whitney started playing when she was 8 years old and started getting serious about it in Middle School and then it just took off from there”.
