Fatality Wreck on Madison St.



A male in his 20's was killed in a head on collision this morning on Madison St. Several others were transported to area hospitals.

According to Jim Knoll with Clarksville Police Department, the wreck happened at 1517 Madison St. in Clarksville at approximately 7:40am.

A Dodge Durango and GMC Sierra crashed head on. Knoll said the Durango, traveling eastbound crossed into the westbound traffic lanes and crashed with the Sierra.

The driver of the GMC Sierra, a man in his 20's died at the scene.

The driver of the Durango, identity unknown at this time, was transported by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Hospital. 

A male passenger in the GMC was taken to the hospital by helicopter and is in critical condition. A female passenger was taken by ambulance to Gateway Hospital with unknown injuries.
