Downtown Market Helps Local Entrepreneurs Flourish

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn—The Clarksville Downtown Market provides an opportunity for local businesses to grow and flourish like the products they sell.

The Downtown Market, sponsored by Parks and Recreation, is a local opportunity that creates a place for local growers and artisans to sell their fresh produce and crafts.

“I started online and once I brought my business to the market I gained more business locally. The market allows me to associate with other vendors and gets my name out there more,” Rebecca Brockman, owner of Nifty Crochet Works, said.

With a troubled economy and a high unemployment rate more and more people are taking the chance and becoming their own boss. This spirit coupled with the Clarksville Downtown Market makes for a winning business model.

The Downtown Market runs from May 21st through October 22nd and is held every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm at Public Square in downtown Clarksville.
