Bankers Bowl for Big Brothers Big Sisters

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Local bank employees took to the lanes at the Pinnacle in hopes of raising the most money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and hopefully take home the coveted “Purple Bowling Pin”.

Amy Carroll, Executive Director of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Clarksville, said, “The bankers have worked hard over the last month and a half, raising money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and I’m really excited because I think they’re going to go over $30,000 in donations which beats last years total of $24,000 for the Bankers Challenge.

The Bankers have their own challenge during the Bowl for Kids Sake but the main event is Saturday March 9th where everyone is invited to attend and help Big Brothers/Big Sisters reach their goal and beat last years total of $80,000.

6th Annual Spring Into Summer Festival

Will take place May 25-26 at the War Memorial Walking Trail Park, 101 Walter Garrett Lane, Oak Grove, KY. All activities will begin at 12 p.m. both days and the festival is free and open to the public. The festival includes a free carnival, various vendors, variety shows and a free concert with Joe Nichols at the Viceroy Performing Arts Center on Saturday. Breakfast Latino Style for Chiapas

Will take place Sunday, May 26 from 8-11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Family Life Center, 709 Franklin St. The event will take place every fourth Sunday of the month. This month's featured country is Brazil. Prices for breakfast items starts at $5. Proceeds raised from the breakfast items sold go to two parishes in the southern part of Mexico, San Pedro Chenalho and San Pablo Chalchihuitan.
